We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. It is the Bible that God reveals His Will to man. All scriptures are given by inspiration of God without error and has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct of man. It is fully authoritative, and our only absolute trustworthy guide for life, faith, and hope for eternal life.
We believe that there is one true, good, and living God who is of one substance, power, and eternal purpose, yet eternally existing in the Trinity of three persons (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit). They execute distinct harmonious functions in the work of God’s creation. God the Trinity posses all life, glory, goodness, and blessedness in and of Himself.
We believe God is the creator of all things for the manifestation of the glory of His power, wisdom, and goodness. God created man and woman in His own image and therefore every person of every color, race or creed possesses full dignity and is worthy of respect and God’s love.
We believe the term “marriage” has only one meaning. It is an earthly covenant between one man and one woman in a single exclusive union that God created and sanctioned to image the unbreakable heavenly covenant between Christ and the Church; and therefore, is not to be broken by anything but death. Their status changes from two individuals to one flesh as God joins them together.
We believe that by complete and perfect obedience to God by His suffering and His death, Jesus Christ obtained forgiveness of sins and the gift of His righteousness for all who trusted in God prior to the cross and all who trusts in God thereafter. Through living a perfect life and dying in man’s place–the just for the unjust, Christ absorbed our sin at the cross, taking our due punishment, and thereby satisfying the wrath of God against us.
We believe man is now accountable for his response to the forgiveness, pardon, and reconciliation offered to him by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. When we trust in Him, become a follower of Christ, and abide by His True Word, we are justified by God and have been adopted into His family. God’s will for believers is that we exhibit a transformation in our lives, showing evidence in a life of purity, holiness, and growth as we strive towards a Christ-like character.
We believe that those who are redeemed and come to saving faith will never lose their salvation but will remain in Him. That believers may fall into sin through neglect, spiritual weakness, and temptation, but even so, they will never fall fully and completely from God, because God, by His grace, will preserve us. We must repent by confesing our sins and ask God for forgiveness. God is always there. The bonds of Christ are manifest in all places. God will never leave us nor forsake us.
